Good content, Dr. Malke. Thanks for that info and I wish you best of luck. Pray for me as I have a B1 B2 interview in 2 days!! 😉
Dr Malke is it possible to study ophthalmology in the US being an IMG without an ophthalmology specialty from my country?
So helpful!! Thank you!
Where to find list of acgme accredited institutions in anesthesiology in state of Tennessee
Sir how much do you get paid now as a resident doctor? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
he has numerous videos about it, take a look in his channel
شيل الموسيقى يا أخي
The best series of videos I have ever encountered with, thank you very much!
Urology !?
How we can find those institutions who offer post graduate program
Dr. Malki, lawyer Nevin said in the video the allowed limit That you are in residency training is seven years for example if I did two years of research does it take from seven years or what because of this point I did not understand it
Personally I feel like spouting your cv in the tell me about yourself is a mistske they already have looked at it. Tell them something they don’t know
Must your ecfmg certificate be valid to apply for this pathway of working in tennesse? Because if you didn’t match and it got expired i don’t think it would be taken in consideration
Probably it needs to be active
@@MalkeAsaadthanks doctor ! But one of the requirements is that your ECFMG certificate must be "permanent" doesn’t that mean that you must do at least a 1 year residency already to make your certificate become permanent? Thanks again !
Hi Dr.Asaad , would you please let me know how to apply for the pathway at the state of Tennessee. I would be very grateful and thankful.
From the video, I understand that we need to have a Job, apt visa status that needs to be included for the application of licence. What roles of jobs should we look into and what website should we keep checking to see if there is opening? Thank you
And should we disclose without being asked why don't we have a rich research background? 😞
Is this position suitable for ENT surgeons finished 3 years training in my home country?
Yes if you have your ECFMG certificate
Thank you so much sir Malik for your highly appreciated and important information
A question how to apply for graduate medical position as mentioned.....
Im currently 4th year here in egypt, how can i find and be apart of any reaserch to add to my portfolio
Check out this course thematchguy.com/research-positions-in-the-us/
Can I start reaching out to tennesse programs for consideration for the job offer under this pathway already?
It will take effect July 1
I literally “Love You”❤
What of ophthalmology???😢
what additional funding has been put into place to cover the salaries and training? it seems many of the "not enough residency spots" woes are due to funding. have insurer's agreed to reimburse for services provided by these docs?
What is the difference between being licensed but practicing under supervision of a full licensed dr. and being full licensed dr itself. Interms of practicing and payoff and getting into sub specialties and etc….. How to become a full licensed dr from the (licensed but under supervision of a full licensed dr)
Dr malke i have few questions actually i will be thank full if you help me 1) Is is a must to pass both usmle step 1 and 2 ck ? In all states and is there any different pathaways than that 2)can i become a board licensed surgeon after a period of time (like some years ) meaning i become a primary surgeon or i will only remian as a licensed but not a board certified ? 3) if for example i did CT-surgery residency in my country for like 5 years And i come to america (specific state) will i also be practicing in CT-surgery again with out any competition to get into it and can i change my specialty Like for example if i want to do plastic surgery in usa i need high mark on usmle step 1 and w ck and i need alot of research and publications and etc things like that. Soo it becomes very competitive By this question i mean If i came to us and i am a board certified ct surgery in my country can i do ct surgery as a doctor and will i get board certified after many years of doing ct surgery in us (in that specific state that accepts me ) what is the difference between being licensed and being board certified In the video you said once you are licensed by a state it does not limit you to the specialty that u have. ?( how could i be certified in pediatric and came to america to do plastic surgery can u plz explain that ? If i get a license i can doo any specialty that i want ? Thank u r help i dont know much about the process
Does grades of medical school matter in residency please give me answer
❤❤❤❤
What if the IMG is a FNP in USA already.? Would those years of working as an FNP count toward the requierements.? Of course after passing step 1 and 2. To get the full license will be required to pass the step 3 as well ??
Most states require unsupervised practice to count toward these years.
??
Thank you very much for the video and the great interview. It helps very much. I wanted to ask where I can find a list of the ACGME accredited programs (15-17 institutions as stated in the interview)
You can check on the ACGME website
34:28 is superb hint 😅
Hello sir, what kind of roles can we apply? I have completed my residency in orthopedic surgery, and fulfill all other requirements mentioned. Can i apply for the role of an assistant professor or are there any only certain specific roles for which we can apply?
You will apply to get a license to practice medicine
@@MalkeAsaad so, I can't apply to my speciality roles?
@@vaibhavsahu8521 Once you get a license, you can practice any specialty you want
So, even if I do residency in internal medicine, get a license, I can work as an orthopedic surgeon without any exam or anything?
Hello Dr, thank you for the video. So far, no ACGME accredited institution has listed out a vacancy that mentions about accepting IMGs. The vacancy posted only mentions that applicants should have U.S. residency and license to practice. So, does that mean i can't apply to those vacancies? If i can't apply, then how do i get a job? Do i need to contact the program directors and ask them personally for an available spot under this law? Please guide
You can consider reaching out to programs directly.
How to approach if I have a year

Do I had a better chance to be accepted if I am american citizen and also IMG´s?
Not needing a visa might make things easier

Its great video but to be honest with you its missing a lot of info that I would be looking for if I am an IMG and trying to use this path: 1. What specialty are they accepting? 2. What specific qualifications are they looking for so IMG can be hired? Are they looking for some USCE, LoR, research exp like residency?
There are no limitations on specialties. All specialties are accepted The qualifications will be determined by the hiring institution not the state board.
Thank you Dr
Thank you for sharing such information!
